See You Again

We live in a world where people increasingly choose work over spending time with their children. For children, they don't understand the concept of a job and can hold resentment for their parents absence. If a parent had a chance to correct this understanding and showed they care, I'd imagine they would take it. The film explores the way in which both characters have processed the time apart. Elle has clear disappointment and resentment about her mother working late, where as Rachel sees it as a necessity.
