It is April 1953. With American and Soviet nuclear warhead development fully underway, the CIA begins one of its most infamous and mysterious projects to date: MKUltra. Hoping to find a way to change the public's perception of the bomb, researchers carry out secret mind-control experiments on an American family. The results are beyond anything the CIA could have predicted.
