This entry in Columbia's "Cavalcade of Boradway" series has host Danton Walker taking the audience to 'The Embers' club, where progressive-jazz expert Joe Buhskin and His Sextette are performing. With Bushkin at the piano, the group opens with "Rat Race" and vocalist Dorothy Loudon lights a blues-torch with "The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea." Bushkin provides the finale playing and singing his own composition, "Oh, Look at Me Now."
