The docu-fiction 'Kavadasa' is about a 25 years old down syndrome girl named 'Prajakta.' It is a creative narration of her mind space ( which is equal to an 11-12 years old girl) at different locations like her apartment, her native place in a village and the music class she visits during weekends. In down syndrome children, additional genetic material alters the course of development and causes the characteristics associated with Down syndrome. A few of the common physical traits of Down syndrome are low muscle tone, small stature, an upward slant to the eyes, and a single deep crease across the center of the palm - although each person with Down syndrome is a unique individual and may possess these characteristics to different degrees, or not at all. Apart from medical challenges, when we look at the Down syndrome child individually, each one of them has a universal quality which is innocence. They always crave for love and ready to love us more in return. The film tries to portray vivacious nature and free spirit in them.
