Once upon a Time in Chatsworth, California

Chatsworth, CA. Summer of 1969. Jenna, a rebellious fifteen-year old girl is abandoned by her deadbeat mom. She steals a horse named Prettyface from her best friend, Marlena's family and runs away. Not wanting to be left behind, Marlena follows her. When Prettyface is spooked and throws Jenna, the two girls stumble across a family living in an abandoned movie ranch. Jenna, a street-smart budding musician, is not fooled by their talk of peace, love and living free, but her naive and very square best friend is gradually seduced. The situation gets dangerous. Jenna stands her ground and is forced to make a great and heroic personal sacrifice to save her friend from not just any family. The Manson family.
