Pat McGeehan narrates this documentary short about fossils. The information offered is up-to-date as of 1953, the images are good, and McGeehan speaks in a soothing voice: so soothing that my attention wandered. It's a common problem with many mid-century documentary shorts. So anxious are they to educate their audiences, that they decide this would be a good time to expand their vocabulary, not just with unfamiliar words that describe things well and usefully, but long words where shorter ones could do. Add in McGeehan's syrupy voice, and I doubt I would be able to give the narration my full attention, even if the science was up to date.
