Timil

Vela, working as a student/waiter in an Indian restaurant in the US, receives a phone call from his mother who hails from a remote village in Tamil Nadu. She informs the risk of losing "Karuppan"(name of a bull) if "Jallikattu"( a sport between man and a bull to identify stronger breed bulls) doesn't happen. Helpless Vela after the phone call, gets back to work. The biased conversations the customers have pisses Vela even more. He pauses for a moment, questions the customer whether they have any idea about the sport before commenting and goes on explaining the history of the sport and the need of a strong breed of bulls. Timil is a awareness musical short about Jallikattu, its history, how green and white revolution played a part in eradicating the breed.
