The camera goes inside the United States Capitiol Building after first taking a glance at the cornerstone laid by George Washington. Inside the building it follows the pageant of American history as seen in the collection of art; visits the Rotunda, the national Statuary Hall, marble stairways, ornate corridors, the House and the Senate, the press gallery, and takes a peek at a Senate hearing.
