Free Samples is a hallucinatory fairy tale that explores the way excess rots our sense of having enough. Using the black-and-white silent form, the film tells the story of Milton, who moves into a local organic supermarket to live off the free samples. When his excitement hardens into a voracious thirst for all things free, Milton begins soliciting freebie coupons by sending fraudulent complaints to food companies. Soon he has his own hoard of groceries in a corner of the store. Can Milton snap out of his dangerous obsession before he gets into real trouble?
