Nellie and Mikie beg on cold Huddersfield streets, and take home just a few pounds a day. When Mikie hits it big on the horses he tries to keep his win from Nellie, but circumstances get the better of his secret. Nellie finds out. Can she fend off local scavengers, and will Mikie make it up to Nellie?
