Two factory workers discover a server is writing its own line of code. With millions of dollars and the continued operation of the factory at stake and with time running out, graduate student Mark Andresen travels to the factory with professor Silas Faulkner, unaware that professor Andros Palmiotti is already on-site. The three must now match wits as well as theories in a race to attempt to define what may one day come to be known as...the Singularity.
