Lovely Lily is about a day in the life of Lily, a has-been lounge singer at the Cavalier Restaurant in Jackson Heights. In 24 little hours Lily's world will turn upside down. It is February 8, 1964 and the Beatles are going to debut on the Ed Sullivan Show changing the course of musical history. The story reflects all the social and historical attributes from civil rights to the beginning of Vietnam. The film features all the musical sounds of the day:Folk,Broadway, Jazz, Flamenco and Rock and Roll. Highlights include various props and costumes from that era.
