Pam, an old maid living with her widowed mother, knows nothing about life outside the crummy motel they own. Trapped in perpetual adolescence, she still doesn't know what she wants. The only certainty is that nothing will ever change: Day after day, Pam cleans up the tawdry traces of loveless affairs, and sits for TV dinner with her mother. Then one day a man checks in by himself, and unleashes something in Pam. Is it her imagination or is he there to save her from her damp existence?
