The Tell-Tale Heart
Seeking to rid himself of his master's "evil eye," a young butler schemes in the night to murder his master. On the eighth night, the butler chokes his master to death, dismembers the corpse in the bathtub, and buries it under the floorboards of the master bedroom. The police soon arrive, and the butler confidently leads them directly to the scene of the crime. Haunted by the beating of his master's undead heart, the butler confesses his actions to the police in a fury of insanity.
