Fredrick is an asshole. He cheats on his wife, beats her up, rapes her. But Fredrick has a problem. His girlfriend is leaving him for another woman. As he hunts them down in a murderous rage, his wife hatches plans of her own. Golem combines a heavily allegorical script with visual styling reminiscent of silent horror films, which builds throughout the film into a uniquely compelling finale.
