As They Rise

Downtown Seattle, the present. Eric Stroheim, mid 30s, homeless, is growing accustomed to the violent world of the street. His civility is slowly fading away as he continues struggling to survive in hostile and painfully banal urban environs; however, he maintains a shred of buried integrity. A chance encounter with a seemingly benevolent elderly homeless man leads to sudden violence; Eric, consumed with revenge, yields to the brutality of his world as he forcefully seeks revenge, before suddenly recalling a memory that reminds of him of the type of civilized person he used to be.
