Your brain is a miracle. It stores your memories, creates your emotions, and shapes your thoughts. 100 billion nerve cells control everything that happens in your body. But your brain is also susceptible to diseases that kill nerve cells - neurodegenerative diseases such as dementia. Today, more elderly people die of dementia than of cancer.
