"Alabakera" (The Geniuses) is the first and only edutainment TV Show of its kind in Egypt and the Middle East. Each episode is a gameshow between two competing schools, universities, families, or groups of friends. The National Bank of Egypt donates a sum of money for every question answered correctly and the cumulative amount is added to its own CSR Vault. With a total of 18 seasons and 4500 participants: more than 200 schools, 40 universities, 90 families, and 32 groups of friends from all over Egypt have participated in the show. "Alabakera" has managed to raise over 780 million Egyptian Pounds (50 million USD) allocated by the National Bank of Egypt to renovate public schools, support Olympic athletes, renovate small towns and help entrepreneurs in Egypt. Created and hosted by the prominent Egyptian novelist Essam Youssef, "Alabakera" is broadcast every night at 8:00pm (GMT+2) on "Al Kahera Wal Nas" (Cairo Centric) TV Channel.
