Ben and Steph have been together for some time and Ben is feeling broody. Steph's mother, Jan, would also like to see some grandchildren and warns Ben not to leave it too late. Although they have discussed it many times, Steph - an architect - constantly puts the moment off, saying she's not ready for kids. Egged on by Jan, Ben decides to take action. In this dark comedy-drama, small deceptions have major consequences. All the characters feels justified in their actions - unaware that their selfish impulses can have a disastrous impact on the people they love.
