A look into an everyday drug addiction with Swedish dialogues recorded over the telephone network with social counselors, friends and fellow drug abusers. A long list of various juvenile correctional- and detox institutions heads the film summing up Jeanette's efforts and incapability to quit drugs at the time the film was made, as was also the case to the bitter end. On Oct. 5, 1974, Jeanette writes the filmmaker Anders a letter about her present situation, having been arrested by the Police, interrogated and finally jailed at Långholmen Prison, Stockholm, for grand fraud. In the letter she includes a summary of her life so far, beginning when she was thirteen living at an orphanage, next stop being a youth care school followed by a few other institutions, at nineteen she gets two years at Hinseberg Prison, followed by major mental examinations.
