From Tears to Cheers

The Portuguese national team has provided some incredible talent over the years. Eusebio, Figo, Rui Costa, and eventually Cristiano Ronaldo. However, until 2016 a trophy had always alluded them, despite often reaching the later stages of the competition. In 2004, Portugal had perhaps their greatest ever generation while hosting the Euro's in their home country, losing in the to unlikely victors Greece. Twelve years later, in Euro 2016, Portugal would finally get their long awaited trophy. This time beating out hosts France in the final. This is their story.
