Hejira

A young Iranian refuge, Ali Homami who has just entered Canada illegally is interrogated by an Immigration officer in the Airport. After getting permission to enter the city, Ali calls his friend but no one answers. so, he leaves the airport and settles in a dilapidated hotel on the outskirts of downtown Vancouver where a sudden change forces him to confront the harsh reality of his situation.
