Light and Dark is a about the filmmakers, Michael Smith and Tom Stubbs. Before they met they were both developing their own characters, Michael; his animated ego, the secretive yet seductive 'Dark Fox' and Tom; his alter ego, corporate video maker 'Graham Lightside'. Back in the real world Michael wants to move into employment and be more self-sufficient; Tom wants to be able to make films that are more about what he wants to do.
