Het oog dat voelt

After studying at the School for Photography and Fotonica in The Hague, Koos Breukel worked as a freelance photographer in Amsterdam and specialized in portrait photography. His photos appeared regularly in magazines such as Quote, Oor and Elsevier. His life took a turn in 1992 when he survived a serious car accident. From that moment on, he decided that everything had to change. He started to focus on more personal photo projects. He photographed the traumatized victims of the Faro plane crash and made a series of people who were partially blind or not. He chose subjects that touched him personally.
