In Her Own Colors follows two generations of women - a grandmother and a granddaughter. The grandmother lives in a restrictive, stifling world and struggles with marriage and self-awareness, divorce and self-expression. The granddaughter is deeply affected by her grandmother's story. The film uses the colors the women surround themselves with as guides to their inner lives and their relationship.
