Inês is a sad woman. Neglected by her husband, who is frequently absent, she wanders alone, day and night, through their huge and empty apartment. Without being able to avoid it, she starts having tactile, auditive and visual sensations that don't belong to her - as if she felt another woman's sensations. Slowly, she realizes that this other woman really exists, and finally manages to track her down. By going to meet her, she discovers secrets that concern her own past.
