Billy runs out of gas on the side of a desert road. He is at a low point in his life and is at a crossroads. Over-come with emotion, he puts his head down on the steering wheel and drifts off. In his dream he is visited by a variety of unwitting characters; an Angel, a man who is traveling to the presidential inauguration named Mohammad with his son, a gambler and a mechanic. Through all these encounters and their results, Billy senses a miracle when he is awakened and feels a glimmer of hope. Matt Ford's first film is a hypnotic experience that takes us to a world where dreams, hopes and nightmares collide to present the zeitgeist of America through 2008 and 2009.
