Billy, a 16 year old, makes a list of everything required to have what he believes will be the 'best summer ever'. He plans to cross everything off with the help of his best friend Dewey, like scoring a date with a hot chick and being in a rock and roll band. However, all of the obstacles he must face along the way, such as an overbearing father and older brother and bizarre band members, makes him rethink his list and find new ways to get the most out of his summer break.
