A young boy from the farmlands near Detroit becomes a Christian in spite of his family's rejection of religion. After he gets stumped by a drunk who asks him questions he can't answer about the Christian faith, he goes on a 20-year academic journey to find the answers to reasons for believing in Christianity. He fights to build a statement on biblical inerrancy for many evangelical denominations to affirm. He pioneers debating non-religious experts on the logic and evidence for the Christian faith. He builds organizations and seminaries to teach what he has learned, and writes over 100 books on the faith. A generation of evangelical church leaders were trained or influenced by him, and the resources he left us are available to everyone to use in defending the faith.
