Laxmi Calling Ling

41-year old Ling has street phobia. For months she doesn't get out of her flat in Amsterdam. She lives her life with almost no interaction with other people until she gets waken up by a series of early morning calls from, what sounds like an, old Indian lady asking for her daughter on the phone. Although Ling is angry at first when she keeps calling even after she told her she has got a wrong number, she starts awaiting the calls every morning. No one ever asks her how she is feeling and if she has eaten, but the Indian granny does. When the phone calls stop coming Ling starts worrying about her. It forces her to go out on the streets she hasn't been on for years, to face her fears and find Laxmi.
