Jackie O'Brien, a rough-around-the-edges, overly suspicious lady parole officer, expects the worst from everyone. She is assigned a new parolee, Jose, on early release for good behavior. Unconvinced he is truly reformed, Jackie sets out to find enough dirt on him to return him to jail.
