The Spirit of the Ganga

The Spirit of the Ganga highlights the journey of an 18-year old environmental activist, Sumair Handa Bakshi and his youth-led organisation that has been working for the last 5 years to save the critically endangered aquatic species that reside in the Ganges. In a quest to strengthen the movement and advocate for youth participation, the film traces Sumair's conversations with experts, key decision-makers and influencers as he tries to deconstruct the causes, effects and magnitude of the problem whilst also proposing solutions to rejuvenate a river that supports the lives of millions of Indians.
