Sam (21) is struggling with stage fright during an amateur theater production directed by the impatient and unsympathetic Stigwood (45). Sam is also finding it hard to approach his fellow actress Holly, whom he is besotted with. As the rehearsal period comes to the opening night, Sam's situation changes.
