It is the year 754 A.D. The Christian tempest blows through Europe. In Frisia the last tribes resist the gale. The young monk Gregory is elected to join Bishop Boniface on a last attempt to convert the Frisians. Together they journey towards the holy oak of Thor, the heart of the Frisian civilization.
