Felix, a 35-year-old loser from Queens, begrudgingly takes care of his alcoholic father while hiding out with his lifelong imaginary friend, Stuff, an overbearing 7-foot monster. But when Felix becomes interested in Madeline, a vivacious neighborhood woman who drives a Corvette, Stuff fears for his existence and desperately tries to keep Felix under his control. Felix's only hope might lay in the person he thinks he hates the most -- his Dad.
