Forgotten by society, the residents of a small retirement home, make their way down the slow crawl to death. JJ is sad and alone. His only companion is Mel, a man who refuses to surrender to his old age. When the two friends sneak out of the home one night, they go on an adventure that proves that while growing old may be mandatory, growing up is optional. JJ learns that the end of one story is the beginning of another.
