Bienvenido follows 14-year-old Bienvenido Anderson during the summer between 7th and 8th grade after he has failed all of his classes and ends up in summer school. It is a portrait of one charismatic young man, his loving family, the teachers who want him to succeed, and the terrible match between the current education system and adolescent boys' exuberance.
