The Gotthard Railway

According to Wikipedia, the Arlberg Railway "which connects the Austrian cities Innsbruck and Bludenz, is Austria's only east-west mountain railway."This 340-second "phantom railroad ride" shows the view from the rear of a train, although I am not sure whether it's eastbound or westbound. This sort of movie, which was popular in the era, is an intermediate form of the short reality, which often showed a train coming around a curve, and a full documentary. Its editing is in straight, linear time-based, and the cuts are very apparent. That is because the choices of where to place the cuts seem to have avoided the less populated stretches. There are lots of buildings on view, even when the train is not in a station.
