Created to look like a graphic novel, The Christmas Prayer composites digitally rotoscoped images to create a unique visual look. The story takes place in southwest Missouri in 1947. Based on true events, The Christmas Prayer depicts a young boy's struggle to memorize a poem that he is scheduled to perform in church. His parents' fighting provides a backdrop for the boy's efforts to use the performance as a way of finding acceptance from his immigrant father.
