Empty, an out cast, nobody at the end of his rope, finds someone just like himself, Allegra. Together they are defined by the contribution of one to the other. Happy, they try for a baby. Though sadness knocks again when Allegra cannot achieve the beauty of pregnancy. Lakiya, a small innocent girl, suffers from the abusive tendencies of her alcoholic father. For a brief moment in a neighborhood park, Allegra and Lakiya share a moment of connection, and that night as Lakiya endures another beating, Allegra, disappointed and depressed, attempts suicide. Empty stops her, and nurses her back to health. Empty observes the relationship between Lakiya and her father, and thinks it to be an offensive misplacement of child possession. He and Allegra break into Lakiya's house to nurse her wounds, but her father comes home. With his future family next to him, Empty makes the decision to protect that which he rightly deserves.
