As we follow in the steps of a young boy for the day, we notice how short his luck is becoming. We can't help to wonder if there will ever be hope for him. Rejected from family, after breaking in to his older sister's room and stealing a quarter, the young boy decides to venture outside. Memories of the past and the passion of pure fun urge him to jump into throwing a football with the neighbors. The young boy is trying to fit in, but even the kids next door reject him. After being beaten up by the neighborhood bullies he walks to the store with his stolen quarter. Unable to purchase anything with a quarter, he moves on to the park where he spends some time swinging. Reflecting on the rejections of the day the young boy gets surprise visit that just may change his life.
