Murdoch is a dramedy that traces the story of a young misfit named Alex who is obsessed with a fictional western movie cowboy character named Murdoch. The cowboy stand for good and justice in the movies. Young Alex 'talks' to Murdoch in his imagination and enthusiastically shares his passion for his cowboy hero with his elementary classmates. But when he faces rejection and an eventual beating from several bullies, Alex questions the moral virtues of Murdoch. Years later, a now jaded teenage Alex tries to fit in with bad-natured bullies. But inside Alex's heart remains good. He is simply bad at being bad. The voice of Murdoch returns at a critical moment when Alex is forced to decide whether being good is worth the sacrifice.
