An art collector, researcher, and pioneer woman traveler, Gertrude Bass Warner not only founded the University of Oregon Museum of Art from the materials she gathered on her trips to Asia in the beginning of the last century, but also contributed greatly to the study and acceptance of cultural diversity in Eugene and beyond.
