A depressed man rediscovers his love of nature and goes for a walk to the park. A mysterious figure leaves a fig plant on a bench, which he takes home with him. He cares for this plant for months on end and his happiness escalates. Meanwhile there are warning signs about staff cuts in his line of work, and eventually he is loses his job. He becomes suspicious as to why the plant has not grown whatsoever and notices a hidden label indicating it is a fake plant. This revelation combined with his loss of income forces him over the edge and he tries to take his own life. Magically the plant sprouts buds, which saves him from his depressed episode.
