In 1994 Irvington, New Jersey Police Sergeant Ken Hogan was ambushed in his police car by a drug dealer who had a mission to kill Sgt. Hogan and himself. The shooter fired 19 bullets at Sgt. Hogan from a semi-automatic weapon, four of them hitting Hogan, with the last one entering Hogan's head. Left for dead and bleeding profusely with a bullet in his head, Sgt. Hogan had a plan to survive this near-fatal armed encounter and he did.
