Twelve-year old Lily White's world is full of beautiful things. She has a loving father, caring friends, and a life in a peaceful town surrounded by all of the best nature has to offer. Sadly though, Lily is going to die soon. Affected from birth by a series of medical complications, growing up has not been easy for Lily. But she is a special girl and has never complained, choosing instead to take a positive outlook on her short-lived life, a response that has made her a community favorite. Increasingly affected with the sadness of having to watch her father suffer, and as her body slowly weakens under the pressure from sickness, unexplainable events start to take place in Lily's world. With a strength that belies her fragile exterior and gentle persona, Lily White floats through the final days of her life between reality and fantasy, hoping to help her father understand the time has come for her final journey.
