Erasure

Erasure explores natural processes of decay in film. Focusing on parts of a found film where images have faded from the 8mm film strip entirely, Erasure forms an exploration of the mortality of the medium. The film forms a slow paced visual depiction of the effects of time and nature on the acetate based 8mm.
