Richard is an incomplete man who's been relentlessly searching for his purpose in life after losing both his legs many years ago. His work as a suicide prevention hot-line operator has not met his hopes of fulfillment, until he gets a call from a woman who's desperation seems all too familiar. Richard decides to break protocol and meet with her face to face, where he discovers they share a similar predicament and form an unexpected connection.
