Made in celebration of the tricentennial in 1983 of the arrival of the first German immigrants in this country, this film examines the history of German immigrants and the role of German-Americans in our society. Through commentary, historic photographs, and profiles of three representative families, the film provides insight into the long and rich history of Germans in the United States.
