What are we all fighting for? In Honolulu, the universally sought utopia or 'paradise' is promised - and not necessarily delivered - on a daily basis. Through different crises of varying degrees, a Japanese novelist and his new wife on their honeymoon, a UN-based investigator and his field agent partner, and a burned-out activist for the native Hawaiian rights movement, all find hope for a very different paradise than that offered in tourist brochures.
